Overwatch 2 has just had its biggest week since launch. Not only did Blizzard unveil a new Hero, but we also witnessed a cracker of a match for the Overwatch League Grand Final. However, it appears that it's still finding its feet when it comes to Hero balancing, as well as the in-game store economy. Some aspects were so imbalanced that yet another Hero needed to be temporarily remo
Longtime Overwatch fans who had credits piled up from the first game were awarded Legacy Credits by Blizzard. However, it appeared that the developer was being its stingy self when Halloween skins from OW1 were marked as 'new' and weren't redeemable via Legacy Cred
As for new players, they will have to complete a certain amount of games to unlock all the Heroes. The table below carries all the information on how to unlock all heroes. It also contains information on how to unlock the three new heroes in Overwatc
Junkrat’s persona and weaponry perfectly parallel the chaos of fighting in Overwatch, but his abilities subtly let me learn more about the maps and how to manipulate my foes’ positions. He blends quirky fun with abilities that are outlandish enough to be engaging, but not so out there that they’re confusing to newcom
After almost a month of this, players are calling for change. Many are complaining that Zarya is the most overpowered Hero in the game, and the most in need of a nerf. And unlike with other heroes, it actually seems to be the Zarya mains themselves leading the charge, as they're sick and tired of playing the same Hero every ma
Overwatch 2 is out now on all platforms, and this time, it is available for free to download and play. The sequel features significant changes from the previous title, such as new maps, modes, heroes, and much more. However, you will still have access to most of the Heroes from the previous g
Playing support in Overwatch is like crawling through mousetraps to help your little brother up after he’s fallen, only for him to kick you in the face and call you a twat. It’s a thankless job, no matter how much you heal, and if you’re playing with randoms, you’ll often be hung out to dry in front of an ulting Moira and a hook-happy Roadhog. I swore off the role a couple of years ago, but Kiriko has roped me right back in, angry chat messages and thanks-spamming teammates be dam
However, Blizzard giveth and Blizzard taketh away . Torbjorn and Bastion were removed from the game briefly due to glitches that made them too overpowered . They should be coming back this week. The Bastion glitch allowed him to fire off his ultimate constantly for its eight-second duration, and Torbjorn's Overload ability was lasting twice as long as inten
The company has also had to reduce the Cleaning House weekly challenge from 20 to ten team kills . 20 is an astronomically high number to expect from people when it’s easier to coordinate ferrets than Overwatch play
I tried her out because she was new and the daily quests keep asking me to queue for all roles which, as we know, really means support. She can shred through squishy DPS characters and heals plenty, at least enough to scratch my Mercy itch. Being able to reach upward of 9,000 healing in quick play while getting eliminations is like playing DPS with a bit more utility, and overwatch2tactics.com that’s what makes Kiriko so refresh
This comes from one of the most active threads on the Overwatch subreddit, asking players what Heroes they think are most in need of a buff or nerf. While there are a few mentions of nerfing Mercy and Moira's DPS abilities, the conversation quickly turned to Zarya, probably the most-played Tank in Competitive right
I was ready to call it quits and decide that I’d been right, Overwatch simply wasn’t for me, when I misclicked while swapping heroes and ended up as Junkrat. His opening battle cry, "I’ll keep trying till I run out of limbs!" tickled me immediately. "Plenty of bombs to go around!" is a great one, too. I spent two hours playing as him and had a blast, pun inten
Mei mains felt a chill down their spines when they learnt that the Hero would be temporarily disabled in Overwatch 2 due to a glitch with her abilities. It seems players were using her Ice Wall ability to reach areas on the map which they shouldn't be able to, kind of like how Sombra players were glitching into the payload. This prompted the dev to disable Mei, but you can expect her back on November
One D.Va bug is so powerful it launches her from the game into another lobby entirely . Nerf that. Also, Lucio’s Snow Fox skin may be a bit too flashy, as others can see the frosty fog effect coming off his boots through wal
It comes with its own risks though. If you’ve played Overwatch 2 at all, you know Moira is constantly played as a DPS . They shred through enemies, rush off to get kills, and rarely come back to help the team, leaving the job to rest on one support’s shoulders. I’m busy scrambling to hit the mute button while I keep a charging Reinhardt alive as he plummets into the entire enemy team, so my shoulders are more than strained. But Kiriko hasn’t ended up like Moira - at least, not yet. The ease of being able to jump between damage and healing is similar there, but the DPS doesn’t outclass the healing to such an extent that it’s worth dropping altogether. The two are well-balanced, meaning you can easily flit between keeping D.Va alive and taking out a cheeky Widowmaker perched in the dista
